Friends From New Jersey

A few days ago, I had a chance to meet the people from New Jersey. They came to Taiwan to share their education system with us. After the presentation, the students in Lishan lead them to look around the campus. And it was our first time to get to know each other.

At the noon, we went to Dansui. They tried different kinds of food there. However, they still don’t get used to all of them yet. And then Shilin Night Market was our destination. We shopped there. They even bought a huge bag so that they can bring all of the things back to New Jersey.

I was so lucky. It was absolutely a wonderful day. Those guys were out going and friendly. You can just open your mind when facing them. I don’t think I was a guide in the trip because we were more acting like friends. It is kind of sad that we had to wave goodbye to each other after only one day trip. But I have their e-mail address, hoping that we can still be friends after they go back to the US!

Dear Diary:

        Yesterday, when I was practicing playing bass, something wrong just happened. My speaker couldn’t work! It must have broken. How unlucky I was! How could I play bass without any sound? How could I be a master without practicing? Because of these questions, I think I should buy a new one in these days. However, a speaker is not cheap. It may cost thousands of dollars for each. Besides the money, timing is a difficult problem, too. I am preparing for entering a college so my mom thinks it is unnecessary to spend so much time on the bass. I like the feeling that the notes, the beats, and the melody flow out of my hands! It makes me feel like the word is under my control! It is for sure that I will continue playing bass in my life. But the question is I need a speaker, I hope that I can deal with this soon!

Here are all the members in LSRM (Li Shan Rock Music) 2nd. We have been joining this club for almost three years. When we first enter the club, we know nothing about rock music. But we learned. Between 2006 and 2007, our first year in senior high school, we learned lots of things from the students in the upper class and the teachers. (Including musical skill, the history and information of Rock’n Roll …etc)

Sleeping In Class

        In the English class last week, Jason fell asleep. Because he had stayed up late doing the Chinese assignment, he was tired all day. After sleeping for a while, he had a dream. It’s a dream about himself. He dreamed that he was an English teacher who was teaching in class but none of the students were paying attention to him. Every one looked tired and needed a rest. He became angry so he thundered”Wake up!” to all the students in class. Soon after, he suddenly woke up from the dream. He noticed that the teacher was standing in front of him and seemed to have a terrible mood. Jason was almost scared to death. After that embarrass situation, the teacher lectured him for a long while. Feeling guilty, Jason swore not to sleep in class anymore.

Tommy the Dog

        Tom got a puppy as his birthday present last year. He was so happy because he had always wanted a dog which could play with him all the time. He got alone well with Tommy, the dog, everyday.

But one day when they were having fun in the park, he found that the dog was gone. He couldn’t believe how unlucky he was. After that day, his life was full of sorrow. He missed Tommy so much. There was no one playing with him anymore. Time after time, he looked as if he was just losing his heart and left lone again.

However, one day, when he was going back home from school, he noticed that Tommy was sitting in front of the door. He was so glad that he even cried. He couldn’t wait to begin a new life with Tommy again. The life is all about love and passion.

Betty Loves Cats

    Betty loves cats so much. Because cats are so cute, she always plays with them in the park. One day, she found that those cats in the park were all living in the dark and messy surroundings so she decided to take them home. She wanted to create a warm place for the happy cat family.

    When she was just about to arrive home, her mother noticed that Betty was holding a baby cat. Betty begged her mother to keep the cats, but, of course, her mom didn’t accept that.

    At last, Betty could do nothing but to bring them back to the park. Her heart was full of sorrow. She went to the park more often to keep them company, hoping that one day they can find their own place, which is all about love and kindness.

My Sister

    Momo is my older sister. She always has a smile on her face, and she also has a pretty face, which is similar to mine. She is the most intimate person to me in my life.

    My parents work in China so I spend all the time with her when we are at home. We study together, playing together, doing chores together. Sometimes I feel like I am the older one in the house. Because she is a little lazy, I usually do most of the houseshold chores on my own. However, she sometimes cooks and cooks well. I think it is a useful skill when she becomes a housewife.

    A few days ago, she went to Japan, where she is going to study, learning about music. Music is her favorite. She always likes to sing and hopes to be a singer. Maybe it is difficult to be a superstar, but I have faith in her, hoping that she will fulfill her dream one day.

A Day With Gorilla

    One day, Jessica was cooking dinner herself. She was very excited because it was her boyfriend’s birthday. She planned to give him a surprise. and the dog they had, Kiwi, knew that there was going to be a big meal so she was already sitting in the kitchen happily.

    Suddenly, a gorilla rushed into the house. Jessica was so frightened that she even broke the dishes. But the dog felt nothing unusual. She just ate up all the food on the floor in a hurry.

    Finally, Jessica knew what was going on. It was her boyfriend! He also wanted to do something different on that special day. She was pleased by him and had a radiant smile. Kiwi was glad, too! Not only was the kitchen full of joy, but Kiwi also finished her delicious dinner!
